The Opportunity
The Woods Maine Shop is looking to add a Shop Assistant to the team.
This is a part-time role in a fun, team-focused environment that requires previous customer service or retail experience. Candidates must be communicative, responsible, accountable and customer service-focused.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Process in-store purchases, returns and exchanges
- Light housekeeping and upkeep of the Shop and Warehouse spaces
- Complete training with full comprehension, and continued training as assigned
- Adhere to weekly schedule as assigned
- Adhere to Shop policies and procedures
- Provide outstanding customer service to in-store Customers
- Educate customers about Shop products and vendors
- Fulfill online orders, returns and exchanges
- Cash handling with accountability and utmost responsibility
- Assist with merchandising, inventorying and seasonal displays
- Report to the Shop Manager
Personal attributes required:
- Strong and professional communication skills
- Problem-solving and independent decision making abilities
- Organizational skills
- Self-motivation and the ability to self-create and meet deadlines
- Natural inclination to assist and communicate with Customers
Requirements
- Previous work experience in a customer-facing environment.
- Excellent mathematical skills
- Previous use of Shopify is preferred
- Availability to work 15+ hours per week, including weekends, holidays and evenings
- Reliable transportation, including during inclement weather
- Comfortable use of iPads
- General use of Google Drive and accompanying apps
- Ability to stand for long periods (6+ hours) and climb multiple sets of stairs
- Ability to carry 25+ pounds
